The Year Two and Three students have been super busy!
In Year Two, the students have been learning about place value and how our number system works. They have looked at different ways to represent numbers using digits, words and pictures. In their Faith, Life Inquiry lessons they read about the parables of the mustard seed and talked about how they can use our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind, to build the Kingdom of God.
In Literacy, the Year Three students have been exploring vocabulary that helps make their writing more detailed and interesting to read. They have word walls and add new and interesting words to it regularly so that they can refer to it as they learn. As part of their Faith, Life Inquiry lessons, they have been discussing how they can make good choices. They created their own super heroes who make good choices and strive for good. This work ties in with their learning about the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Some of the Year Three students received this sacrament earlier this month.
